Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene has revealed a first look at the new desert-themed map in development for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

Greene posted two photos on Twitter that showed off the new location, and it's looking pretty nice so far. It's still a work in progress.

The game currently has just one map, which is the default map that has been in the game since its release.

Greene revealed at E3 that two new maps are currently in development for PUBG. The desert map is the first, along with a second one that is based in the Adriatic Sea, featuring snowfall and a ruined cosmodrome in the center.

PUBG's most recent update added new guns and weather options, along with a number of optimizations and improvements. After reaching four million sales in just three months since its release on Steam early access, it looks like PUBG will be receiving constant updates for the foreseeable future.

There's no timetable for the desert map's release, but it would likely come in one of the game's large-scale monthly content updates.
