Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon is not a sequel and will have a bigger story, developer says

New information has been revealed about Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon.

Famitsu magazine, a popular Japanese video game magazine, has divuldged some crucial information about the upcoming game. Most importantly, the information has confirmed that the game is not a sequel to Pokémon Sun and Moon but an alternative story set in the same universe.

The game will also have brand new post-game content, and players will be able to catch brand new Pokémon like Mewtwo, which were not available in the previous installment.

The game's story is expected to be twice as long as the original and offer a lot more changes than players probably expected.

Coinciding with the Famitsu news, The Pokémon Comapny has released a trailer showcasing a different Alola then what players are used to, as well as more previously unseen footage for the game.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon releases worldwide on Nov. 17.
