Marvel Rivals season 3.5 roadmap: New hero, game mode, map, and more

The Marvel Rivals season 3.5 update releases on August 8, 2025. The official roadmap posted by NetEase Games on X shows that the mid-season update has a ton of content in store for players to enjoy.

This includes the introduction of a new hero, game mode, costumes, maps, and events. All of them will arrive on separate dates and will go on until season four takes over later in September. As usual, the servers will be offline when the season 3.5 update starts rolling, and the game will be inaccessible during that time.

New hero and event on August 8

Blade joins the roster with the launch of season 3.5. He is a Duelist with 350 health, and his gameplay centres around poking enemies, escaping, and coming back to do the same (a lot like Tracer from Overwatch 2).

Right off the bat, he gets a new costume as well, the Polarity Edge, which you can purchase from the in-game store.

The Queen’s Codex event also drops on the same day, from which you can earn three new skins for Black Widow, The Thing, and Hela. While Black Widow and Hela’s skins are a part of the premium tier, you can get The Thing’s skin for free.

New costumes on August 15

We are getting two new costumes for Cloak & Dagger and Winter Soldier: the Polarity Bond and Polarity Soldier. These skins have a metallic look with bird-like features, and the color palette of the skins includes gold and black.

New game mode and map on August 22

On August 22, we will be getting four new additions:

• Resource Rumble (new game mode)
• Klyntar: Throne of Knull (new map)
• Ancient Powers Awaken (new event)
• Iron Man – Extrembiote Armor (new costume)

The Resource Rumble game mode will be playable on the new Klyntar: Throne of Knull map. From the Ancient Powers Awaken event, you can get skins for Venom, Doctor Strange, and Iron Fist.

More costumes on August 29 and September 5

On August 29, we will get a new Phoenix Chaos costume for Scarlet Witch, which rocks a fiery look. And on September 5, another costume will arrive for Peni Parker, the Wasteland Mech skin.

Ultimately, September 12 marks the end of season 3.5, with season four taking over shortly after.
