On this week’s edition of The Leaderboard, our hosts take a look at the premiere of Heroes of the Storm on ESPN.

Blizzard brought its newest game to ESPN2 for the Heroes of the Dorm competition, a collegiate tournament pitting teams of students from different universities against one another. Cal-Berkeley ultimately prevailed, but it was the production and the reactions that were most notable.

That reaction reached a crescendo when ESPN radio host Colin Cowherd put the broadcast on blast, advising that the players should remain locked in their basements, comparing the viewing experiencing to the contemplation of suicide, and bringing up Harry Potter for reasons that remain unclear.

Also covered are Valve’s big changes to the Dota 2 tournament structure, Hai Lam’s departure from Cloud9’s League of Legends team, and a great weekend of play for fighting game legend Justin Wong.
