On this week’s episode of the Leaderboard, our hosts discuss the controversy surrounding Counter Logic Gaming following the departure of Austin “Link” Shin.

Shin, former mid laner for CLG, posted an 18-page open letter to the community following his departure from the League Championship Series team. The meandering document included snapshots of Shin’s history playing League of Legends and liberally spread blame for the team’s misfortunes, most notably to famed ADC Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng. The letter prompted a noisy reaction both from fans and from the accused—Peng included.

We also tackle the dominance of Fnatic in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and of Optic Gaming in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, as well as Blizzard’s offering $1.2 million leading up to the year-ending Heroes of the Storm tournament at BlizzCon.
