If you missed out on the rest of the Jak and Daxter universe beyond the first game, you'll have a chance to experience them as PlayStation 4 releases next week.

Sony has just announced that Jak II, Jak 3, and Jak X: Combat Racing will be hitting the system Dec. 6, with 1080p upscaling as well as trophy support. You'll also be able to use Remote Play, SharePlay, and activity feeds with the re-releases as well as activity feeds with the games. You can view the games' manuals on your PlayStation Vita or the PlayStation App.

You can already purchase Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy on PlayStation 4, and now the saga will be complete when these all hit the platform next week. In celebration of their release, Sony has released a new trailer that goes over some of what you can expect to see in the games. If you're familiar with Jak and Daxter in general, the Jak games are a little different, a little "darker," but decent platformers and worth trying out.

The trailer doesn't do the older games many favors, but that's to be expected in the aesthetic department. They should look leaps and bounds better than they used to when they debuted on PlayStation 2, however.

Just in case you've still got some room on your plate for some classic games to play this holiday season, you could do a lot worse than the forgotten mascot duo from the PlayStation 2's heyday.
