How to watch Awesome Games Done Quick 2019

Games Done Quick are popular  annual speedrun marathon brings together hundreds of speedrunners from around the world all in the name of charity. There are two main events that are held throughout the year by the organization known as Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) and Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ).

Viewers can can make donations for a chance to win prizes and influence the runs, all while raising millions of dollars for a good cause. Since GDQ started in 2011, the organization has raised well over $10 million for various charities around the world.

This year’s AGDQ will be heading to the Rockville Hotel in Washington, DC from Jan. 6 to 13. Speedrunners from across the would will be coming together to benefit the Prevent Cancer Foundation, a charity that looks to prevent cancer through early detection and by offering information on how people can look for signs of the disease in themselves or others.

The last two AGDQ events have raised over $2 million each, but no AGDQ has ever managed to reach $3 million in a single week before.

The event will be livestreamed on the GDQ Twitch page. Anyone who misses their favorite speedrun over the seven-day period can watch VODs on YouTube shortly after the event.

The event will kick off with Hollow Knight on Jan. 6 at 9am CT.
