If you feel like you're doing a lot of running in the early-goings of Destiny 2's campaign, you're not alone.

For some reason, the game's campaign does not give you your own personal vehicle early on, like what happened in the original Destiny. Every Guardian will need a Sparrow, as it helps traversing and traveling destinations immensely.

Sadly, you won't be able to get your hands on a Sparrow for quite a while in Destiny 2, unless you get lucky.

The first way to get a Sparrow in Destiny 2 is by luckily getting one out of a Bright Engram. Once you get to the Farm, Tess Everis will offer you some for free. If you're lucky, you can get one out of these Engrams. If not, Engrams can be purchased from her at Eververse using real world money once you hit level 20.

The second way to get a Sparrow is to simply finish the game's campaign. Once you do that, meet up with the Shipwright, Amanda Holliday, and she will have three free Sparrows for you to choose from.

The good news is that once you start a second character, you can move one of your Sparrows from your first character over to it by storing it in the vault. That second character will never need to know the pain of running everywhere like your first did, but their leg muscles will undoubtedly be slightly weaker.

The running will be tedious and tiresome at first, but once you get a Sparrow in your inventory, you'll truly know how it feels to "fly."
