Fit for a Queen Bee is a “Found Item” quest in Palia that starts after you collect a tiny crown from a beehive in the Elderwood region. Whether you’re wondering how to get through an unclear step or want to trigger the quest to complete and earn the reward, this guide has everything you need to know.

Palia Fit for a Queen Bee quest guide

How to start Fit for a Queen Bee

You can trigger the Fit for a Queen Bee quest in Palia by interacting with a beehive—but this isn’t just any beehive.

After the Elderwood update, beehives can spawn on Pine trees across Bahari Bay and the Elderwood. For this quest, however, you need to find the hive that spawns on a particular Pine tree located in the north of Mauvais Way in the Elderwood. To help you find the tree, we’ve included a snapshot of the map with a pointer to the location below.

When you find the tree, look around its branches to find the beehive and then interact with it. Instead of honey, you’ll get a crown, which will start the Fit for a Queen Bee quest.

Who to talk to about the crown

After you get the crown, you’ll be instructed to talk to someone who “knows about bees.” To progress to the Fit for a Queen Bee quest from here, you need to speak to Auni, the NPC who will help you get accustomed to the Bug Catching skill when you start out in Palia. You can find him roaming around in Kilima Valley. Go to him and interact to start a series of dialogues.

In the end, he’ll suggest that you offer a “super good quality” Piksi Berry to lure out the queen honey bee and give her the crown back.

Where to find Piksi Berries in Palia

In Palia, you can find Piksi Berry plants growing across the Elderwood, and particularly in the Deep Woods area. For this quest, however, you have to find a Star-quality Piksi Berry as instructed by Auni. These spawn at random, so all you can do is look around for a while.

You can identify a Star-quality Piksi Berry by its shiny appearance. It isn’t much different from a normal Piksi Berry, but definitely noticeable. You can use the images below to compare as well.

Also, listen for a subtle glittery sound effect that plays when you approach a Star-quality crop in Palia.

Offer the crown back to the queen bee

Now, for the final step, you need to go back to the same spot in Mauvais Way (B3) where you found the beehive in the first place. There, under the Pine tree, you’ll find a glowing wisp. Go near it and interact to place the Piksi Berry and start a series of dialogues.

Offer the crown you found to the queen bee when prompted. Once the dialogues end, the Fit for a Queen Bee Palia quest will be marked complete, and you’ll receive the beautiful Grow All Out Gazebo furniture piece to decorate your space.
