How to get Lingonberry Leather in Grounded 2

Lingonberry Leather is a very essential resource in Grounded 2, especially during the mid and late game stages.

Lingonberry Leather is one of the most valuable crafting materials you’ll come across in Grounded 2, especially once you hit the game’s second act. While it doesn’t serve much purpose on its own, it’s a key ingredient in crafting advanced gear and essential upgrades that let you hold your own against tougher enemies and challenges.

Unlike some other resources, the game doesn’t exactly point you in the right direction when it comes to finding this rare material. And if you’ve already spent time gathering Blueberry Leather, you might think it works the same way, but there are two major differences.

First, Lingonberries grow in completely separate regions, often hidden in tougher-to-reach biomes. And second, harvesting them requires a higher-tier axe, meaning you’ll need to level up your tools before even thinking about collecting them.

Here’s everything you need to know about crafting Lingonberry Leather in Grounded 2.

If you’re hunting for Lingonberries in Grounded 2, your best bet is to head north, specifically to the Pine Hill region along the park’s edge. This area, tucked within the hedge-lined border, is your primary hotspot for finding these bright red berries. Some will be scattered on the ground ready for collection, while others cling to the bushes and need a few swings from your weapon to bring them down. Larvae and other hostile critters often lurk in this zone, so come prepared.

You’ll also find a decent number of Acorns nearby, which is a nice bonus if you’re trying to stock up on multiple crafting materials in one run. But here’s the catch: Lingonberries are tougher than their blueberry counterparts. You won’t get far unless you’ve upgraded your axe to level two or higher. A level one Omni-Tool won’t cut through the bush, so make sure you’ve unlocked the necessary upgrades before making the trip.

And if your base is on the other side of the map, this journey can take a while. It’s a smart move to bring along a buggy mount if you’ve got one unlocked; it’ll save you a lot of time and energy while trekking back and forth with your haul.

How to craft Lingonberry Leather

To turn Lingonberry Chunks into Lingonberry Leather in Grounded 2, the first thing you need to do is analyze the chunks at a research station. This step unlocks the crafting recipes tied to the material. Without analyzing them, you won’t see any option to convert the chunks into leather.

Once that’s done, you have two main ways to process Lingonberry Chunks into usable leather. The first and fastest method is to use a Workbench. Head to your base, interact with the bench, and select the Lingonberry Leather recipe. You’ll need three Lingonberry Chunks to craft just one piece of leather. It’s an instant process and works well if you need the material immediately, but it’s also pretty inefficient since it eats up more resources than necessary.

The second method is slower but far more efficient. If you’ve built a Jerky Rack, you can hang the chunks on it. Each rack can hold up to three items at a time, and once the drying process is complete after a few in-game hours, you’ll get one piece of leather per chunk. That’s a one-to-one conversion, which makes it a better long-term option for stocking up on materials without wasting what you’ve collected.

If you’re low on Lingonberries or just want to get the most out of every foraging run, the Jerky Rack is worth the wait. On the other hand, if you’re in the middle of crafting armor or weapon upgrades and need Lingonberry Leather right away, the Workbench method gets the job done fast.

In short, both options are useful depending on your situation. Make sure to analyze new materials when you find them, and always keep your crafting stations ready so you can turn your resources into gear whenever the need arises. Lingonberry Leather plays a big role in progressing through the tougher parts of Grounded 2, so learning how to process it efficiently is a game changer.
