Are you an Xbox owner who hasn't yet taken the plunge with Xbox Live Gold? You can take the service for a spin this weekend.

It's all part of a "Free Play Days For All" promotion, and anyone is eligible to participate. Starting today and running throughout Monday, Oct. 9 at 2:50pm PT on Oct. 10, any Xbox One or Xbox 360 owner can jump online and start gaming in any game without an Xbox Live Gold membership.

Fortunately the Star Wars Battlefront II open multiplayer beta is going on right now, so if that's a game that's on your radar, you can give it a whirl. The beta just expanded to everyone today, so you no longer need a code to join and get down to business.

If you decide to play during the Star Wars Battlefront II beta, you'll get a special Founder's Crate for participating when the game launches on Nov. 17.

So if you're the one person in your group of friends who's never online to play with on your Xbox One or Xbox 360, this weekend is your time to shine. Time to bust out that copy of Overwatch you've been saving for such an occasion.
