Destiny 2's launch on PC today was about a month and a half after the console version, but some players are having to wait even longer due to server issues.

Prior to the game's launch at 12pm CT, Bungie tweeted that players should expect server queues on all platforms. While some players connected with no issue, many others have been reporting issues with connecting to the game at all.

A number of threads on the Destiny Reddit popped up with players complaining about being stuck on "Signing in" at the main menu, and not even getting a chance to create a character, over an hour past the game's initial launch.

"During periods of high traffic, players may encounter the Destiny server login queue," said Bungie's help article. "Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 feature separate queues. Destiny server queues regulate player population to provide stable conditions for Destiny gameplay.

It appears that it might be a battle of attrition and patience to connect to the game, or players could have to wait a while longer for server issues to subside before they're able to experience Destiny 2 on PC.
