Bungie has kicked off its showing at gamescom with a bang, as the developer has released the launch trailer for one of 2017's most highly anticipated titles, Destiny 2.

The trailer shows off numerous never-before-seen cutscenes and gameplay elements, including dialogue we've never heard before. There is one pretty big spoiler at the beginning of the video, so you might want to avoid watching it.

If you don't watch it, though, you will be missing out on one of the most exciting trailers Bungie has ever produced. The story content looks to reach heights that the original Destiny never dreamed of, with cutscenes and exposition galore.

Those who were turned off by the original game's lack of a story or uninteresting plot should take solace in this trailer, as it looks to be just a taste of the storyline that players will begin to unfurl when the game is released on consoles on Sept. 6.

In fact, it was recently reported that the game will launch with over 50 hours of story content, including more than 80 PvE missions. The story will play out over cutscenes and in-game dialogue in ways that the series has yet to experience.

Destiny 2 is currently available for pre-load on Xbox One, and it will be available to pre-load on the PlayStation 4 on Aug. 31. The open beta for the PC version will begin on Aug. 29.
