Every Guardian gets one Exotic armor slot in addition to the one Exotic weapon slot. Exotic armor comes with a unique perk and increased Power level that provide the equipped Guardian with unique advantages on the battlefield. Guardians outfit themselves with an Exotic armor piece from a variety of options unique to each class. Each class has 11 Exotic armor pieces so far, and we’ve listed them all and their perks below.

Guardians acquire Exotic armor through Exotic or Legendary Engrams. These Engrams are earned through Vendor packages, Crucible packages, Public Event rewards, Strike rewards, and random drops in the world. Additionally, every Guardian will receive their first Exotic armor as a reward for completing the story mission “Riptide” on Titan.

Hunter

Celestial Nighthawk

Exotic perk: Modifies Golden Gun to a single, high damage shot. Victims killed by the shot explode.

Celestial Nighthawk is used with the Gunslinger subclass to deliver a massive amount of damage quickly to a Strike or Public Event boss. This helmet comes in handy in Nightfall runs, where you and your fireteam need to burst down big enemies quickly as you race against the clock.

Foetracer

Exotic perk: Visually marks targeted enemies. Deals more damage to low health marked enemies.

Foetracer’s best use is in the Crucible, where you can continue to track an enemy for a time through walls when he disengages from a gunfight. The better you know where the enemy is, the easier it becomes to counter their play.

Knucklehead Radar

Exotic perk: Provides radar while aiming.

Knucklehead Radar is not the only item that provides this ability—the Exotic scout rifle, MIDA Multi-Tool, shares this perk as well. Keeping your radar up is most important in Crucible, and as long as MIDA remains a strong kinetic weapon option, Knucklehead Radar won’t see much play.

The Dragon’s Shadow

Exotic perk: Grants increased movement and handling speed a short time after Dodging.

The Dragon’s Shadow adds a little bonus to a Hunter’s class ability. While Arcstriders may prefer the Lucky Raspberry or Raiden Flux chest armor, Nightstalkers can use the increased movement and handling to cloak and escape a fight quickly, then re-engage when the time is right.

Lucky Raspberry

Exotic perk: Increases the chaining abilities of Arc Bolt Grenade and has a chance to recharge it each time it deals damage.

A Bladedancer favorite before and an Arcstrider favorite now, Lucky Raspberry makes a great choice for the Hunter who wants to be more focused on abilities than supers.

Raiden Flux

Image result for raiden flux destiny 2

Exotic perk: Quick successive attacks with Arc Staff increase its damage output and duration.

Raiden Flux is one of three options presented to a Hunter by Sloane after completing the story mission "Riptide" on Titan. Raiden Flux presents a strong option to any Arcstrider invested in generating orbs and clearing waves for his allies.

Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves

Exotic perk: Increases sidearm ready and reload speed.

Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves are one of three options presented to a Hunter by Sloane after completing the story mission “Riptide” on Titan. Sidearms tend to have smaller clip sizes, so Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves may be a solid option if you’re invested in Rat King or one of its Legendary counterparts as a primary source of damage.

Young Ahamkara’s Spine

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Increases Tripmine Grenade duration and marks enemies damaged by the blast.

Young Ahamkara’s Spine is another armor piece unique to Gunslinger and turns their grenade into a radar ping of sorts. A well-placed Tripmine Grenade can let you know when an enemy is sneaking up behind you and may represent a reasonable option on some of Crucible’s slower gametypes, like Countdown.

Lucky Pants

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Increases hand cannon ready speed and initial accuracy.

Lucky Pants are one of three options presented to a Hunter by Sloane after completing the story mission “Riptide” on Titan. Lucky Pants combine well with a Sunshot-focused loadout but will need to see a rise in the preference of hand cannons to see Crucible play.

Orpheus Rig

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Provides ability energy for each enemy tethered by Shadowshot anchors.

Orpheus Rig synergizes with both of Nightstalker’s skill trees—whether you’re firing one or multiple arrows. The leg armor rewards a well-timed super activation with a grenade and smoke bomb that enables a quick clear.

ST0MP-EE5

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Increases sprint speed and slide distance. Improves jump.

ST0MP-EE5 is for the Hunter who wants to get up close and personal with a shotgun, a sword, or their fists.

Titan

An Insurmountable Skullfort

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Kills with Arc melee abilities trigger health regeneration and restore melee energy.

An Insurmountable Skullfort is for the Striker who’s taken the Code of the Juggernaut and just wants to punch first and ask questions later.

Mask of the Quiet One

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Grants ability energy when damaged, and health regeneration when inflicting Void damage.

Mask of the Quiet One really embraces the frontline identity of the Sentinel subclass. The helmet allows you to effectively chain the Shield Throw ability of your super and stay healthy as you lay waste to wave after wave of enemies.

Actium War Rig

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Steadily reloads a portion of your equipped auto rifle’s magazine from reserves.

Actium War Rig is one of the three Exotic armor options presented to you by Sloane after completing the story mission “Riptide” on Titan. Since you can hold an auto rifle in both your kinetic and energy weapon slot, Actium War Rig offers the opportunity to attack with strong, sustained damage. Actium War Rig may be at its most powerful when combined with Sweet Business, the Exotic auto rifle that becomes stronger and more accurate the longer you hold the trigger.

Crest of Alpha Lupi

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Generates an additional Orb of Light from supers and a healing pulse when Barricade is activated.

Crest of Alpha Lupi presents a strong support option for your team in both Crucible and other world activities, creating a point both safe and defensible.

Hallowfire Heart

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Greatly improves the recharge rate of your Solar abilities while Hammer of Sol is charged.

Hallowfire Heart is the only Titan Exotic armor unique to the Sunbreaker subclass. In Sunbreaker’s current state, it’s unclear if the faster refresh on your abilities is worth refraining from activating your super. The chest armor seems more in line with the Siegebreaker skill tree, where a Sunbreaker can regain health after every Solar ability kill.

ACD/0 Feedback Fence

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Melee kills build up explosive energy within the ACD/0 Feedback Fence. Being struck by a melee attack unleashes this energy in a devastating explosion.

ACD/0 Feedback Fence is one of the three Exotic armor options presented to you by Sloane after completing the story mission “Riptide” on Titan. The Feedback Fence is a tricky Exotic item to take advantage of—you do not control when it activates its ability. Creating a situation to trigger the ability is made a bit easier by the addition of melee enemies like the Fallen Marauder and Cabal Gladiator, but it’s not always clear if you’ll want or need an explosion to defeat those types of enemies in the first place.

Doom Fang Pauldron

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Shield Bash melee kills recharge Shield Throw. Melee ability kills recharge Sentinel Shield super.

Doom Fang Pauldron is one of the three Exotic armor options presented to you by Sloane after completing the story mission “Riptide” on Titan. If you’ve liked playing with the Sentinel subclass so far, you can’t go wrong with choosing these gauntlets here.

Synthoceps

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Increased melee lunge range. Improved damage when surrounded.

Synthoceps seems to synergize best with the Striker subclass where its Juggernaut skill tree can take advantage of the melee buff. A Striker Titan loves popping his super when he’s surrounded.

Dunemarchers

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Increased Sprint speed. Sprinting builds up a static charge. After melee attacking an enemy, that charge will chain damage to nearby enemies.

Dunemarchers combined with a Striker’s Shoulder Charge offers a strong initiation into the fray. It takes some time to build up the static charge, so make sure you plan accordingly.

Lion Rampant

Image result for lion rampant destiny 2

Exotic perk: Provides additional aerial maneuverability.

Lion Rampant may not be as flashy as other Titan Exotics, but don’t dismiss it too quickly. This leg armor finds a place in Nightfall runs, patrol grinds, and the Titan who trusts his shot more than anything else in the Crucible.

Peacekeepers

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Reloads stowed submachine guns and allows you to ready them instantly.

Submachine guns provide pretty effective burst damage at close range in both Crucible and world activities. Peacekeepers are a decent shout if you’re planning on shredding enemies with this weapon archetype.

Warlock

Crown of Tempests

Image result for crown of tempests destiny 2

Exotic perk: Arc ability kills increase the recharge rate of your Arc abilities.

Crown of Tempests activates with Arc Soul kills in addition to a Stormcaller’s grenade and melee abilities. This helmet presents a strong option for the support-minded Stormcaller.

Eye of Another World

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Highlights priority targets and improves the regeneration speed of your grenade, melee, and Rift abilities. Decreases recharge time of your abilities by about ten percent.

Eye of Another World is one of three options presented to a Warlock by Sloane after completing the story mission “Riptide” on Titan. While the little bit of recharge is fine, other, more subclass oriented Exotic armors offer more synergy and value down the line.

Nezarac’s Sin

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Void damage kills grant ability energy.

Nezarac’s Sin pairs well with a Voidwalker build that uses the Hunger skill tree to lay waste to enemies without fear of dying. Because of this combination, Nezarac’s Sin is one of the more sought-after Exotic armors in the game so far.

Skull of Dire Ahamkara

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Provides additional damage resistance during Nova Bomb. Nova Bomb kills grant super energy.

Skull of Dire Ahamkara returns and supports the super-focused Voidwalker in the Hunger skill tree to control objectives and other areas of the map.

Starfire Protocol

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Provides an additional Fusion Grenade charge. Fusion Grenade kills grant Rift energy.

Starfire Protocol practically refills your Rift energy after securing a Fusion Grenade kill. A well-coordinated fireteam can use this ability to ensure a Rift is always active to support their team.

Wings of Sacred Dawn

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: When Dawnblade is equipped, aiming weapons while in the air suspends you in midair for a short time. Precision hits extend its duration.

Wings of Sacred Dawn is one of three options presented to a Warlock by Sloane after completing the story mission “Riptide” on Titan. Toggling your aim down the sights will slow your descent, allowing you to stay in the air for even longer periods of time.

Karnstein Armlets

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Melee attacks grant health recovery and melee, grenade, and class ability energy.

Similar to Eye of Another World, Karnstein Armlets are fine, but Nezarac’s Sin offers better value for Warlock’s best melee-minded build.

Sunbracers

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Increases the duration of Solar grenades and grants grenade energy on melee hits.

Sunbracers are one of three options presented to a Warlock by Sloane after completing the story mission “Riptide” on Titan. Sunbracers work well with the Dawnblade that wants to zone areas of the map with their grenade. Dawnblades already have a strong neutral game, and Sunbracers take it another step forward.

Winter’s Guile

Image result for winter's guile destiny 2

Exotic perk: Eliminating enemies with melee attacks increases your melee damage.

Winter’s Guile is another solid option to the Voidwalker and Devour combination, capable of dealing massive amounts of damage in the right situation.

Lunafaction Boots

Image result for mechaneer's tricksleeves destiny 2

Exotic perk: Your Rifts gain the additional ability to automatically reload allies' weapons.

Equip Lunafaction Boots, place an Empowering Rift, and watch your fireteam melt the opposing boss enemy.

Transversive Steps

File:Transversive Steps1.jpg

Exotic perk: While sprinting, movement speed is increased and energy weapons are automatically reloaded.

Every class gets a movement-based Exotic, and Transversive Steps are the Warlock’s. Transversive Steps keeps you moving on Nightfalls and patrols while keeping your energy weapon ready for action.
