Destiny 2's Curse of Osiris expansion is almost here, as the game's first post-launch downloadable content is set to be ready to play tomorrow, Dec. 5.

Curse of Osiris is set to expand the Destiny 2 story and universe by adding new story missions, new Strikes, new Crucible maps, and a slew of new weapons and gear. Another expansion is already planned for Spring 2018.

Along with the expansion, Destiny 2 will be receiving a number of quality of life updates, including changes to the economy, new ways to interact with vendors, new types of Legendary weapons called Masterworks, and more. The launch also coincides with the start of the second season of Destiny 2, which means there will be new gear in the Eververse store and from Factions, and soon "The Dawning" limited time winter-themed event returns as well.

The expansion can be pre-loaded starting at 10am CT, at which point servers will go down for maintenance. The expansion is scheduled to become available at 11am CT, but maintenance will continue through that period and isn't expected to end until 12pm CT.

If you're planning on taking the day off to play Curse of Osiris, be ready at that time, and make some time for the pre-load, too. The expansion isn't large overall, but you'll need allocated free hard drive space (88 GB on PS4, 44 GB on Xbox One, and 68 GB on PC) to complete the download.
