As much fun as it is to watch elite Street Fighter competition, sometimes the stories behind the players are just as intriguing.

Red Bull Esports has recently released episode one, in a series, showcasing one of Street Fighter’s most prominent players, Darryl “Snake Eyez” Lewis. The Zangief main grew up in a rough part of Compton, California, but didn’t let his surroundings negatively influence him. Starting off in arcades in the '90s, he made a name for himself by taking Evo 2010 in Street Fighter II: Turbo HD Remix.

Luckily for fans, more companies have been getting behind covering individual players and teams as personalities. ESPN recently did a E:60 special on Evil Geniuses' Dota 2 team, and HTC covered some major rivalries in Super Smash Bros.
