CompLexity’s Heroes of the Storm side should be in China right now competing for over $250,000 at the World Cyber Arena. Instead, the team has parted ways with its sponsor and will now be splitting up.

CompLexity announced the team’s departure officially earlier today. But the team had reportedly been inactive since releasing support player Alexei “Blinks” Bazhenov on Oct. 23.

The team was one of the best in North American Heroes this year. They won the World Cyber Arena NA Open over COGnitive Gaming, and reached the final four of the inaugural Heroes Americas Championship.

According to current Tempo Storm traillist Quinn “Srey” Fischer, the remaining players had been searching for a new support player until one of them received a job offer from outside of esports. The three other players will now separate and look for new teams.

With COGnitive Gaming, Murloc Geniuses, and Bob Ross Fan Club all looking for sponsors in North America, competition for what little money is available is now fierce. For individual players like the former CompLexity trio, spots on sponsored teams are in very short supply.
