A sponsorless team of players formerly attached to some of the biggest names in North American Heroes of the Storm claimed their third online tournament win this week—and remain undefeated since their formation.

The team known as Bob Ross Fan Club includes former Tempo Storm pair Christopher “Zuna” Buechter and Taylor “Arthelon” Eder, Zuna’s brother Ken “Kenma” Buechter (formerly of Cloud9), former CompLexity captain Stafford McIntyre, and Aaron “erho” Kappes latterly of Stellar Lotus.

Though they have yet to meet teams like world champions Cloud9, COGnitive Gaming or Tempo Storm, they have looked impressive among the next tier of NA teams.

The team’s first outings have been in the North American Enter the Storm qualifiers. After a series of strong performances the team is undefeated in the three cups they have entered, beating teams like Murloc Geniuses, 2Arc, Team Blame, and eLevate. The wins likely secure the team a spot in February’s $5,000 tournament.

Buechter and Eder departed Tempo Storm the day after the inaugural Heroes World Championship following reports of internal conflicts affecting the team’s performance since the summer. The pair wasted no time in assembling this team, hoping to stay relevant at the top of the North American Heroes scene.

The team are actively looking for a sponsor—though other up-and-coming units like Murloc Geniuses have struggled to find funding in recent months.
