Koemi Tecmo's Attack on Titan 2 is coming soon enough, and a livestream event from earlier today clued fans on a few more features they can expect when the game lands. A new release date month was announced, along with several upcoming features. And several iconic characters are coming to the game, letting players hop in and fight Titans as several iconic main characters.

This time around, Attack on Titan 2 plans to adapt the second season, focusing on Eren Jaeger's story as he works with his comrades to fight back against the invading Titans. Fans in North America and Europe can expect the game for March 2018. Attack on Titan 2 will also launch on PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch by then, although a specific date hasn't been announced yet.

Over a half-dozen characters have already been confirmed as playable, including Mikasa Ackerman, Christa Lenz, Levi, Armin Arlert, Miche Zacharias, Nanaba, Gelgar, Ymir, and, of course, Eren Jaeger. And if that isn't enough, players can now use a new monocular feature, which lets players check out Titans to plan attacks.

Custom characters are also headed to Attack on Titan 2, giving players the opportunity to create their own fighters to attack invading Titans. Japanese livestream footage showing off the game's character creator reveals the system is relatively advanced, giving players the opportunity to customize everything from their character's gender to their facial structure, hair, and clothing. The custom characters, called Scouts, can also build their friendships with other characters by practicing together before going into battle.

As far as Attack on Titan 2 goes, the game certainly plans to build off the first with various improvements. Expect it for March 2018, with an official date in the near future.
