How to find the Afterglow Pendant in Where Winds Meet

To find the Afterglow Pendant, you have to focus on your Qinghe Exploration progress. You need to head west in the Qinghe region toward Moonveil Mountain and locate the NPC called the Fisherman. His name is Qiu Yuehai, and you can find him near a pond or lakeside area.

Speaking with the Fisherman will introduce you to the Meteor Flight skill and provide a brief tutorial on how to use it. Earn 4,000 Exploration Experience Points in the Qinghe region through activities such as discovering landmarks, opening chests, and solving local puzzles.

You must also monitor your progress in the area exploration menu. You’ll receive the pendant as a reward for reaching Exploration Level 4 in Qinghe. Only the points and pendant from the specific region you explore will count, as pendants from other regions do not unlock Lightness Skills outside their area.

How to use the Afterglow Pendant

Once you have found the Afterglow Pendant, activating and using it involves these steps. First, complete the Afterglow Jianghu Legacy quest. This typically starts by speaking with the Moonveil Wayfarer in Heaven’s Pier.

After earning 4,000 points and claiming your pendant, return to the quest NPC and deliver the Afterglow Pendant, and select the “I Found It” dialogue option. Doing this activates the Lightness Skills for the region. Lastly, control your new movement, and experiment with the fly function to glide across the map.

Remember, the Afterglow Pendant only works in the region where it’s earned. So, you’ll need to repeat the process in each new region to unlock Lightness Skills there. Progress is tracked on your in-game map under area exploration, so review your points regularly.

The pendant must be “handed in” or activated through dialogue with the quest NPC (the Fisherman) before Lightness Skills are accessible. Apart from the pendant, you also get Echo Jade, Softweave Dye Powder (comes in handy to color your outfits), and Oscillating Jade as other rewards for reaching Exploration Level 4 in Qinghe.
