Final Fantasy 15 won't be just for PC gamers. Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy 15 is launching on mobile platforms this fall. And a certain mobile Nintendo console may be getting a release of its own, too.

Square Enix revealed Final Fantasy 15 Pocket Edition earlier today, an episodic take with a chibi twist on the console hit. Gameplay is simplified with a semi-top-down battle perspective easy to play on mobile devices.

Pocket Edition launches with 10 episodes available from the start, with the first one free to play. The game is set for a Fall 2017 release, and will be available on iOS, Android, and Windows 10 mobile devices. No official date or price has been announced yet.

But Final Fantasy 15 may be headed to another mobile platform soon. On a Twitch livestream during gamescom, Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata hinted that there may be a console release for a platform that "sounds a little" like Twitch.

"We can’t give you any complete, solid details right at the moment," Tabata said, "but we very much do want to move out and do as much as we can with the game and the franchise. There’s another certain console out there people may be thinking of. It sounds a little bit like... Twitch."

Of course, the Nintendo Switch sounds quite a bit like "Twitch." And a Switch release would be huge for the console, bringing one of the most well received games of 2016 onto Nintendo's new system. But for now, there's no official word as to whether a Switch release is on its way.
