After rising through the ranks to become one of the top Heroes of the Storm teams in the country, COGnitive Gaming is ending the year on a lower note—leaving their team house, and looking for a new sponsor.

The COGnitive organization will soon be changing hands (details on who the owner is are not clear). And though there's a small chance the new owners will retain the Heroes roster, the players have decided to move on when their contracts expire in three weeks.

This also means leaving their team house and searching for a new home, but the team is hopeful they can find a new sponsor before their contracts expire.

"While our contracts expire on Nov. 21," COGnitive manager Dylan "Dylux" Walker told the Daily Dot. "we would like to say that we enjoyed our time with COGnitive and at the AFK Gamer Lounge, we appreciate everything they have done and provided for us over the past six months."

Walker also told the Daily Dot that the team would still be competing in upcoming events whatever happens with their sponsorship.

COGnitive established themselves as the consensus No. 3 team in North America towards the end of this year. Despite a disappointing performance at the Masters Gaming Arena, the team rebounded to finish in the top four at the Heroes Americas Championship and only narrowly missed out on Heroes World Championship qualification.
