Oddin.gg secures certification to offer esports betting solution in Brazil

Approval marks major milestone in the B2B supplier's Latin American expansion.

Oddin.gg has obtained certification from Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) to deliver its esports betting solutions in Brazil, marking a significant milestone in its Latin American growth strategy.

The certification confirms that Oddin.gg’s iFrame solution complies with Brazil’s newly established online gambling regulations, allowing the company to collaborate with licensed esports betting operators in the country.

Issued under SY-711, the approval granted by GLI—the first laboratory accredited by Brazil’s Secretaria de Prêmios e Apostas (SPA/MF)—verifies that Oddin.gg’s platform, which includes its Odds Feed, Risk Management, BetBuilder, Widgets, and 24/7 Fast Betting Content, meets the country’s rigorous standards for security, integrity, and operational compliance.

“Securing SY-711 certification for our iFrame means licensed operators in Brazil can now offer a fully compliant esports product that’s built to perform from day one. It opens the door to a younger generation of bettors who expect fast, interactive content—and gives operators the tools to meet that demand with confidence,” Juana Bischoff, Senior Business Development Manager LATAM at Oddin.gg, said.

Oddin.gg’s certification comes at a pivotal time as Brazil’s regulated betting market continues to take shape. The country’s new gambling legislation took effect earlier this year, establishing a legal and transparent framework for gambling operations.

Under the new rules, all betting operators and suppliers must meet strict compliance requirements, including certification from SPA/MF-approved laboratories like GLI, ensuring that systems adhere to technical standards for randomness, fairness, and security.

According to the Central Bank of Brazil, local players spend as much as R$30 billion ($5.4 billion) each month on online betting, highlighting the market’s enormous potential. Esports wagering has quickly emerged as a key growth driver, bolstered by events such as IEM Rio 2024, which attracted more than 710,000 concurrent viewers, up 26 percent year-on-year.

Oddin.gg’s esports portfolio features major global titles including CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends, VALORANT, and Free Fire, as well as its innovative 24/7 eSimulators (eSims)—virtual head-to-head matchups developed by an ESIC-certified studio. These simulations replicate the dynamics of traditional sports betting, with eFootball resonating strongly among Brazilian fans.

“Brazil is one of our key strategic priorities, and this certification reinforces Oddin.gg’s long-term commitment to the market. It’s an important milestone in our mission to support local operators with solutions that meet regulatory standards and deliver the quality and engagement Brazilian bettors expect,” Mauricio Lima, Senior Business Development Manager LATAM (Brazil) at Oddin.gg, shared.

The Brazilian certification builds on Oddin.gg’s efforts to expand across Latin America. Last July, the company obtained supplier registration from the Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires (LOTBA) in Argentina, authorizing it to provide its full esports betting suite to licensed operators in one of the region’s most regulated markets.
