This week’s Fortnite challenges will turn Salty Springs into a warzone

Week eight of Fortnite’s fourth season is here, meaning that the clock is ticking on finishing out your Battle Pass and reaching rank 100 to unlock the Omega skin. Luckily, that’s what challenges are for, and Epic Games gives us a fresh set of them each week to help rank up.

Here are the challenges for this week.

Deal Headshot Damage to opponents (250) – 5 Stars

This one should come easily over time if your aim is on point. Many weapons deal double damage with headshots, so hit your shots and this challenge should come to you in no time.

Search Chests in Salty Springs (7) – 5 Stars

Salty Springs will be this week’s selected location of mayhem as everyone attempts to loot seven chests there. Salty is usually a popular place to land as it is, so this will only make it even more crazier than usual for the next few days at least.

Search 7 Chests in a single match (7) – 5 Stars

This one might take a combination of a bit of both luck and skill. A good idea would be to land off the beaten path far away from the Battle Bus’s route to try and find a secluded area so all of its chests will be your own. Then rotate carefully to other points of interest to see if any chests remain.

Search Hungry Gnomes (7) – 5 Stars

Ah, yes, the gnomes are back. They have a bunch of new locations around the map, some of which can be seen in this awesome image by Instagram user @itsenergie.

Search between a Bear, Crater, and a Refrigerator Shipment (1) – 10 Stars

Head to this marked area to the southeast of Retail Row for an easy 10 stars.

Suppressed weapon eliminations (3) – 10 Stars

You know those gray SMG’s and purple silenced pistols you always see in chests and completely ignore? You’re going to want to pick those up and get three eliminations with them for 10 stars this week.

Eliminate opponents in Pleasant Park (3) – 10 Stars

The second point of interest to receive some added attention this week will be Pleasant Park. This happy neighborhood isn’t as popular as it was in Fortnite’s early days before places like Tilted Towers were added, but it can still get hot when the Battle Bus’s route is nearby. Get three eliminations here for your 10 stars.
