A new Fortnite: Battle Royale Limited Time Mode called One Shot is coming today with the v7.20 update.

This mode features a highly dynamic and fast-paced Squads gameplay. Players can only find Sniper Rifles to shoot and Bandages to heal themselves, which means every other gun is disabled. Even the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle will be brought back in this game mode, along with the Bounce Pad trap.

The mode is called One Shot because players have only 50 health, which means a shot with any Sniper is enough to eliminate them.

One Shot is also a low-gravity mode. This works exactly like the Gravity Stones of season four did and allows players to jump higher and make them immune to fall damage. Players will also be in a Blitz-like mode with a “greatly reduced” Storm wait time in all phases of the match.

Unlike other Limited Time Modes, One Shot doesn’t have increased rates of material harvesting, and players don’t spawn with the new Glider Redeploy item. It should only be found in regular loot during the match.

One Shot will be the perfect mode to test changes Epic made to Sniper Rifles in today’s update. Players will be able to experiment with the new red dot reticle when scoping, with the new bullet trajectories of most of these weapons, and check if the scoped aim is really no longer off-center as it used to be.

One Shot will become available to all Fortnite: Battle Royale players once the server downtime for update v7.20 ends this morning.
