Rejoice, Middle Eastern players.

Epic Games is embracing its Middle Eastern player base with the introduction of Arabic in season nine.

Fortnite: Battle Royale, Save the World, and Creative will now each support the Arabic language.

“Our Player Support team will be fully prepared to assist in Arabic with account or Fortnite-related issues,” Epic said. “We’ll be listening too—if you have feedback to share our Arabic social media channels will be coming online around this period as well.”

The news comes after many players from the Middle East, and particularly Saudi Arabia, started an online campaign in January to ask Epic to open a game server in the region. A new server has yet to be released, but Epic said it’s “still a few months from having services come online and hope to provide a more meaningful update on server support before then.”

This means big changes are on the way soon for Middle Eastern players. For now, however, Arabic players will have to continue playing with high ping. Either way, the introduction of the Arabic language is a positive sign of things to come for the region in Fortnite.
