SabeRLight- leaves Team Liquid as AVULUS reveals new roster in major post-TI 2025 roster shuffle

This is one of the biggest moves of the season so far.

SabeRLight- has officially joined AVULUS on loan from Team Liquid, becoming one of the more notable roster changes in the aftermath of The International 2025.

The Czech offlaner, who was part of Liquid’s lineup during their championship defense campaign, now finds himself competing with a fresh roster after a disappointing season left the player and the organization searching for new opportunities. The loan structure ensures that Team Liquid retains his contract rights while allowing AVULUS to immediately bolster their lineup during this post-TI shuffle.

For Team Liquid, the decision offers valuable flexibility. After bringing in SabeRLight- just a year ago to replace 33 following their TI 2024 win, the team now has the space to explore different roster variations while keeping their connection to a proven player intact. Meanwhile, AVULUS gains the advantage of adding championship-caliber talent without committing to a permanent transfer, a practical move as they continue to rebuild following a tough 2025 season.

The loan is equally significant for SabeRLight-, who avoids an extended period on the bench and secures consistent competition at the highest level. With DreamLeague Season 27 qualifiers starting on Sept. 24, this arrangement ensures he remains active on the international stage while contributing to a team undergoing a complete transformation.

AVULUS recently retained only Smiling Knight from their previous roster, building a new lineup from the ground up that now includes SabeRLight- as one of the key players. His arrival adds invaluable experience to the roster, as despite Liquid’s struggles at TI 2025, his time with the team gave him exposure to championship preparation, high-pressure matches, and international competition, qualities that AVULUS can immediately benefit from as they aim to re-establish themselves as contenders.

The organization’s decision to remain committed to Dota 2 despite setbacks highlights a long-term strategy, with the loan serving as a calculated step toward achieving stability and growth. The true impact of this move will become evident quickly, given the packed tournament calendar.

Beyond immediate results, the success of this arrangement will depend on how well SabeRLight- adapts to AVULUS’s tactical approach, the chemistry he develops with his new teammates, and whether the team can turn this investment into competitive momentum. As the Dota 2 community closely follows the post-TI shuffle, SabeRLight-’s loan to AVULUS stands out as one of the biggest moves of the season.
