Mushi Leaves Fnatic
Fnatic is saying goodbye to the long-standing captain of its Dota team, Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung, the team announced on their official website.
Mushi has been the captain of the Fnatic's Dota team since the organization returned to Dota back in June 2015. Under his lead, the Fnatic banner saw numerous forays into major tournaments, climaxing in a spectacular run at The International 6, placing fourth, the best showing of an SEA team ever. However, in recent months, the team experienced a hard drop off, and did not qualify to attend the Boston Major. The team also suffered at tournaments they did manage to qualify for, being eliminated within the first round.
In a press release included in the announcement, Mushi said he is unsure about his future plans, but looks forward to exploring new environments.
Fnatic reassured fans that they are not closing their Dota 2 division. The organization announced that Chong Xin "Ohaiyo" Khoo will be taking the role of captain for the squad, and the team is also acquiring Kim "Febby" Yong-min.
While they search for a player to fill in a vacancy, Fnatic's roster includes:
- Searching for a Position 1
- Chong Xin "Ohaiyo" Khoo [C]
- Kim "Febby" Yong-min
- Searching for a Position 4
- Searching for a Position 5
