HEROIC reveals new mid-laner after top 6 finish at TI 2025

This is part of a three-part roster shift.

HEROIC has confirmed that Wisper will officially take over mid lane responsibilities, completing a dramatic three-part roster shift following the team’s top-six finish at The International 2025.

The move marks a defining moment in the team’s evolution, as they continue refining their lineup while preserving the chemistry that fueled their historic run. The restructuring began on Sept. 19 with the release of mid laner 4nalog, leaving an immediate vacancy in the core lineup.

Just a day later, Wisper announced that he would step away from the offlane role, a decision that briefly left the team with two critical gaps to fill. HEROIC quickly responded by reuniting with Davai Lama, who reclaimed his position on the roster after departing in December 2024. On Sept. 21, the final announcement revealed Wisper’s return to the team in a completely new capacity, transitioning into the mid lane role.

For Wisper, this move represents a return to familiar territory. The 25-year-old Bolivian has past mid lane experience from his time with Infamous and has recently practiced the role in nearly one-fifth of his recent matches. His willingness to adapt reflects both personal versatility and the team’s trust in his ability to take on new challenges at the highest level.

These adjustments follow HEROIC’s remarkable International campaign, where they rebounded from an early 0-2 setback against PARIVISION to secure South America’s joint-best TI result. Their upset victory against Tundra Esports highlighted the team’s tactical depth and mechanical skill, strengthening their reputation on the global stage. Rather than opting for sweeping changes, HEROIC chose internal solutions that preserve identity while refining strategic execution.

With BLAST Slam IV kicking off on Oct. 14 and DreamLeague Season 27 qualifiers shortly after, the new roster faces immediate tests. The upcoming matches will reveal whether Wisper’s transition and Davai Lama’s return can elevate HEROIC’s consistency, or if further adjustments may be required. What remains clear is the team’s commitment to balancing regional pride with competitive ambition, positioning themselves as South America’s flagbearers in Dota 2.
