The Wonderland Whimsy update for Disney Dreamlight Valley introduced a variety of delightful quests for players to dig into, with Wonders of Wonderland being one of the first.
Here, we’ve detailed exactly how to complete Wonders of Wonderland, including the key locations and items to keep an eye out for while exploring the topsy-turvy new realm.
Wonders of Wonderland walkthrough
Wonders of Wonderland is the first quest in the chain that leads to unlocking Alice as a villager in DDV as part of the Wonderland Whimsy update.
To access this quest, you need to unlock the Wonderland Realm door on the third floor of the Dream Castle for 15,000 Dreamlight. As soon as you open the door, it’ll shrink dramatically in size and a white rabbit will run out.

Follow the rabbit down the stairs and outside. It’ll take you along a looping path before ending up outside a small burrow in the east section of the Plaza, dropping a pocket watch outside.
Pick up the watch, then inspect the burrow. This will teleport you to the Wonderland Realm. A stove, crafting bench, and exit launch pad will be available in the entrance.
Follow the path ahead to meet Alice. She’ll explain that she’s trying to get to the Queen’s Garden and ask you to accompany her. Agree, then follow after her.

You’ll get immediately separated from Alice in the fog. Inspect the footprints that appear on the ground in front of you, then investigate the strange red tree ahead.
Here, you’ll meet the Cheshire Cat. He’ll ask if you’re lost, cryptically declaring, “If you smile in the forest, sometimes the forest smiles back.”

You now need to find three of Cheshire’s smiles in the forest. The first one is down the path to the right of his tree.

Follow this path, interacting with glowing pink items. These turn into chests which feature ingredients that’ll come in handy for a later step, along with an Odd Key that opens Realm storage, so make sure not to miss any.
Follow the path around to the next circular section of the Realm. You can find the second on a red tree with a This Way sign.

Take the path to the right, then head straight on past the singing flowers. Turn left to find the final smile on a rock.

Navigate back to Cheshire by following the furthest path around to the left and speak to him to continue.
He’ll describe a recipe called More Time and mention that the ingredients are hidden in chests disguised as other objects—luckily, we’ve already been g,athering them so you should have them in your inventory. The ingredients are:
- Wonderland Salt
- Wonderland Sugar
- More Wonderland Sugar
- Timely Tea
- Butter
- Raspberry Jam
- Wonderland Lemon
Cheshire will mention that you need Sweet Moments and Spicy Moments. These are both meals, so run back to the entrance to access the stove. Head straight on from the red tree and turn right to get there.
Cook both Moments, then create the final recipe—More Time—using both Moments as ingredients alongside the pocket watch.

Then, eat the More Time meal and head back to Cheshire. He’ll tell you to follow the Mome Raths out of the forest.
Take the path to the right of the red tree and follow it to its end, then turn right again and follow this path to its end. Turn left, following the path downwards until you reach a portal in a tree.

Interact with the portal to leave. This will take you to the Queen’s hedge maze, wrapping up Wonders of Wonderland and dropping you straight into the next quest in the chain, The Queen’s Maze.
