Relentless god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2 Rite of the Nine

The Strand synergy is strong with this one.,

The Rite of the Nine dungeon event in Destiny 2 keeps on giving when it comes to reprised dungeon weapons, including the Relentless pulse rifle.

Relentless is a 450 RPM (High-Impact Frame) Strand pulse rifle. The latest revision kept most of its vital perks with an addition of powerful PvE options, including Tear and Firefly. Currently, it has some of the best subclass synergies among Strand weapons, on par with Adamantite from Episode Heresy.

Here are our PvE and PvP god rolls for the Relentless in Destiny 2.

What is the Relentless god roll in Destiny 2?

Relentless PvE god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Flared Magwell
  • Perk one: Firefly or Tear
  • Perk two: Hatchling
  • Masterwork: Range or Reload Speed

Relentless PvP god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
  • Perk one: Keep Away
  • Perk two: Headseeker
  • Masterwork: Range

The best PvE perk combination so far is Firefly and Hatchling, as it gives maximum AoE. Firefly creates Solar explosions on precision kills, and Hatchling creates Threadlings on precision kills or by rapidly defeating enemies. Kills from Solar explosions caused by Firefly also count towards the “rapidly defeating targets” part of Hatchling, allowing you to get as many Threadlings as possible.

Other solid options include Tear in the third column. Tear severs nearby targets on, you guessed it, precision kills. There’s also Slice in the third column, which does a similar thing but requires you to use your class ability. Either way, there’s a lot of synergy between the perks in both columns.

If your build isn’t focused around Threadlings, there’s also Paracausal Affinity in the fourth column. It grants a 20 percent damage buff for six seconds after defeating a target with a matching alignment (kills with the weapon itself count, too).

The PvP roll remains the same as before, with Keep Away and Headseeker being the best perk combination. Keep Away grants 10 range and 30 reload speed when no enemies are within 15 meters, and Headseeker increases precision damage as you land body shots.

High-Impact pulse rifles aren’t the top pick in the Crucible right now, as the era of Elsie’s Rifles is over (at least, for now), but they still perform in the right hands.

How to get Relentless in Destiny 2

The updated Relentless is available during the Rite of the Nine event. To get this pulse rifle, launch the Prophecy dungeon from the Eternity node (not from Legends) and complete encounters on any difficulty. Completing encounters on the Ultimatum difficulty awards Adept weapons.

All Rite of the Nine weapons come in four versions: base, holofoil base, Adept, and holofoil Adept. Holofoil versions come fully masterworked with a unique ornament and double perks in each major column.

Here are a couple more things to know to get more loot during Rite of the Nine:

  • Attune to the weapon at The Emissary for a higher chance of getting it.
  • Pick up the weapon quests from The Emissary for additional shiny copies.
  • Redeem Nonary Manifolds at The Emissary for additional weapons.
  • On weeks starting June 10, July 1, and July 8, Rite of the Nine’s Prophecy will have increased weapon drops.
