Renegades is an homage to Star Wars in the Destiny 2 universe, and along with it come multiple themed weapons. The M-17 “Fast Talker” is inspired by the clone commando blaster – aside from looking the part, it also comes with a wide range of perks for you to find your god roll.
M-17 “Fast Talker” is a 900 RPM Balanced Heat Stasis submachine gun. The RPM and stat distribution places it in the Lightweight Frame category – an archetype that has seen plenty of top-tier SMGs over the years, from Funnelweb to, more recently, Gunburn and Yeartide Apex.
Here are our M-17 “Fast Talker” god rolls for PvE and PvP in Destiny 2.

M-17 “Fast Talker” is a fairly flexible submachine gun in PvE, depending on whether you’re looking for raw damage, subclass synergy, or QoL. In the third column, it has Attrition Orbs, which was a go-to perk on Multimach CCX. Attrition Orbs creates an Orb of Power after landing multiple hits against enemies within five seconds of each other. Other good options in the third column include Demolitionist, which grants 10 percent grenade energy for every kill.
In some cases, Cooling Baubles may also be a decent option. It greatly reduces heat when picking up an Orb of Power or an elemental pickup. So, if you’re using a Stasis build that creates a ton of Stasis shards, you practically never need to reload.
In the fourth column, Crystalline Corspeloom creates Stasis crystals near targets when getting rapid final blows, allowing you to lean into your subclass. Sword Logic is a more general damage perk, granting, on average, a 25 percent damage increase. Titans with Peacekeepers can also go for Target Lock to deal up to 40 percent increased damage.
It seems that shattering crystals created by Crystalline Corpsbloom doesn’t synergize with Attrition Orbs, likely because crystals count as independent constructs rather than a source of weapon damage.
For PvP, the god roll is way more straightforward. Dynamic Sway Reduction in the third column increases accuracy and stability while holding down the trigger, and Target Lock makes the weapon more forgiving when it comes to landing precision hits vs body shots.
