Esports has different meaning for everyone. There are the people who have no idea what it means, of course (professional gaming, if you’re one of ’em.) Among fans, there are those who just love watching people do something extremely well, something especially easy to relate to if you’re a gamer yourself. There are the serious competitors too, who love watching the best of the best to glean whatever they can from superb performances. Then there or those who love watching others play—or who think esports is just a joke.
