Longtime caster Matthew “Sadokist” Trivett will be a desk host instead of a commentator at the event. This comes after Jarek “DeKay” Lewis reported that Sadokist wouldn’t be a casting duo with Henry “HenryG” Greer.

Sadokist hinted on social media that he wanted to move on to desk assignments instead of casting. Alex “Machine” Richardson has been confirmed as the desk host but he’s also listed as a commentator. This indicates that Machine will likely get the chance to cast some games while Sadokist is a desk host.

Harry “JustHarry” Russell and Hugo Byron will make their debut at a CS:GO Major after working at the StarLadder Minors. The longtime broadcast duo of Daniel “ddk” Kapadia and James Bardolph will make their return at the Major stage after sitting out of the IEM Katowice Major in February.

Overall, CS:GO fans are likely happy with the talent list, especially because Anders Blume and Jason “moses” O’Toole will be at the Major despite some rumors that StarLadder wouldn’t invite them. Some fans will miss Duncan “Thorin” Shields on the analyst desk, though.

The StarLadder Berlin Major will begin on Friday, Aug. 23 with the New Challengers Stage, which features teams like Vitality, mousesports, NRG, North, and G2.

Correction Aug. 21 10:13am CT: This article originally said that Sadokist would be a commentator at the StarLadder Berlin Major. Instead, he will be a desk host. We regret the error.
