Skyler “Relyks” Weaver has left Selfless’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive lineup, the team announced yesterday.
Relyks had been the longest standing member of the lineup before this roster change. Rumors suggest he could be heading to Team SoloMid, but that has yet to be confirmed.
The team will be replacing Relyks with the relatively unknown Jake “Kaboose” Macdonald. That player had been part of the lineup as a substitute after being picked up last week, but will now be featuring as a starter. Selfless also acquired Matthew “no_one” Congdon and Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte on the same date.
In a newsletter sent out by Selfless owner Steve “Ryu” Rattacasa, he thanked supporters for following the team through what he calls “a bit of a bumpy path.” He also mentioned that the first event this iteration of the Selfless lineup will compete in is the Northern Arena LAN, which begins on Sept. 1, and takes place in Toronto. Selfless will face off against Danish Team X, Splyce, and Winterfox in the group stage.
