Ptr joins Luminosity

Luminosity AWPer Erik “fl0m” Flom will move to a rifleman position to make room for Gurney. Flom has previously rifled in Counter-Strike, so the move should be smooth.

Luminosity is one of the newer organizations in North American Counter-Strike, picking up Team Mythic on Feb. 27. Since then, the team has had mixed results. Most recently taking a seventh/eighth place finish versus Gurney’s former team Counter Logic Gaming in the ESEA Season 18 Global Invite Division tournament in Dallas, Texas.

Earlier in the week, the team also announced the acquisition of Team Orbit player Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi. Both of these new additions come as the team gears up for the new ESEA and ESL super league, which was announced earlier today.

As for Gurney, he suffered a falling out with his former team this week, the specifics of which aren’t clear. Since leaving last week—a move that wasn’t formally announced by the team or the player—he’d tried out for Cloud9, but ultimately lost the spot to Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham.
