The first two teams to reach the playoffs of the StarSeries Season 3 LAN finals made short work of their opposition.

In extremely impressive fashion, G2 Esports’ LAN debut saw the French roster win all three of their group stage matches with little to no issues. Consisting of the five most individually talented players from France, the team’s performance in their debut LAN has so far seen the squad take down Ninjas in Pyjamas, HellRaisers, and SK Gaming in incredibly one-sided fashion.

The victory against SK Gaming was particularly impressive, as the Brazilian squad has looked like one of the best teams competing at the $300,000 event. G2, however, didn’t seem to care, as the Frenchmen racked up an impressive 12-3 round score following a dominant first half on Overpass. While SK Gaming were able to take five additional rounds in the second half, it was obvious that G2 could afford the losses, and ultimately ended the game with a 16-8 scoreline.

Considering that this is G2’s LAN debut, the team is certainly off to a hot start.

Joining the French team in the playoffs will be the Ukrainian Na`Vi squad, who also succeeded in putting on a flawless performance in the group stage. While not being as challenging a path as that of G2’s, Na`Vi’s performances in the games against Fnatic and North saw the Eastern European squad look incredibly impressive. Na`Vi’s success is further proven in the HLTV statistics, as both Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács and Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev are ranked as two of the top players at the event so far.

The 14 remaining teams will now have to play one final set of group stage matches on April 7, as six more teams will be joining G2 and Na`Vi in the playoffs.
