The organization decided to release its previous Polish lineup to invest in Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas’s team. The former Virtus Pro player and his teammates were sponsorless since they parted ways with devils.one at the end of April.

Aristocracy is the second-best team in Poland, according to HLTV’s regional ranking. They almost qualified for the ESL Pro League season nine finals and defeated Virtus Pro to win the ESL Polish Championship Spring last week.

Codewise Unicorns probably decided to keep Aristocracy’s brand due to its history in the Polish scene. The tag was invented in 2002 and was inactive until TaZ asked for permission to use it in May ahead of ESL Pro League Europe season nine. Aristocracy is the name of TaZ’s first semi-professional CS 1.6 team.

“We decided to put all of our eggs in one basket which is Aristocracy–an experienced team with a charismatic leader, TaZ,” Codewise Unicorns said. “By taking over the Aristocracy team along with their name we want to bring Polish CS back to the times of its glory.”

Aristocracy will play their first tournament with Codewise Unicorns’ support tomorrow, June 15 at DreamHack Open Summer against Tricked.
