Team Dignitas wasted little time in finding a replacement for their departing Counter-Strike team.

The esports organization was left without a team in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive after announcing this weekend that their former squad had left to join the Team SoloMid organization in February.

While the biggest part of that news was clearly Team SoloMid’s entrance into Counter-Strike, it also left Dignitas without the services of a world-class team. Their former squad had just completed a third-place run at the X Games Invitational, after getting eliminated by eventual champions LDLC and then defeating Fnatic in the consolation match.

Like its former team, Dignitas’ new Counter-Strike roster will be based out of Denmark, and is made up primarily of players who had most recently competed under the Copenhagen Wolves banner.

In addition to the four former Wolves players, Dignitas have also brought back former team captain Henrik “Fetish” Christensen, giving the team a very familiar look with continuity both in terms of nationality and multiple players who have previously worn the Dignitas tag.

Jacob “Pimp” Winneche spoke to the potential success of the team in an official statement, noting that they had already seen results in practice.

“We have been playing together for a couple of weeks now, and we have already both in the game as well as outside the game,” Winneche said. “We have already showed a small glimpse of what we’re capable of, beating strong Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams, and we willl only aim to improve from those experiences.”

The organization expressed expected confidence in the new team, who will have a number of chances to prove themselves with numerous events and qualifiers on the immediate horizon in Counter-Strike.
