After a scary weather forecast shows signs of a very strong hurricane passing through the area, UMG has announced via an update on their website that their Orlando event has been cancelled.

“It is with regret that we announce that due to the hurricane that is anticipated to hit Florida this weekend, UMG Orlando has been cancelled,” UMG said.

UMG also stated that, “regardless of the financial losses, which not hosting the event exposes us to, we felt the safety of our community was obviously far more important.”

UMG said that they will be refunding all team passes and attendee passes and also said, “our thoughts are with the people of Florida and all people impacted by this storm front; we hope you stay safe.”

This is definitely the right thing to do in this very unfortunate situation. For more information on this developing situation, make sure to follow us on Twitter, @GAMURScom.
