MLG Pro League Season 3: Week 3 Recap

With UMG Dallas 2015 coming to a close this past weekend, teams were able to travel back home and put their focus back on Season 3 of the MLG Pro League.

With UMG Dallas 2015 coming to a close this past weekend, teams were able to travel back home and put their focus back on Season 3 of the MLG Pro League.

In the two weeks prior to UMG Dallas, OpTic Gaming and Denial eSports got off to a hot start in the league, while teams like FaZe Clan and Team EnVy were able to put their new rosters on display and show what they can bring to the table.

Here is a brief day-by-day recap of each match from the past week of the MLG season.

Day 7 (7/14):

  • iSolation Empire 3-1 Rise Nation
  • FaZe Clan 3-1 Team Kaliber
  • Team eLevate 3-0 OpTic Nation
  • Team Orbit 3-2 Team EnVy

After their Top 8 finish at UMG Dallas, iSolation Empire was able to pick up their second win of the season when they defeated Rise Nation 3-1. FaZe Clan followed up their UMG Dallas championship with a 3-1 win over Team Kaliber, while Team eLevate was able to defeat OpTic Nation 3-0. In the final match of the night, Team Orbit pulled off the upset, taking down Team EnVy 3-2 in a very close series.

Day 8 (7/15):

  • Team Kaliber 3-2 Rise Nation
  • OpTic Gaming 3-1 Team Orbit
  • FaZe Clan 3-1 Team EnVy
  • TCM Gaming 3-2 Denial eSports

Team Kaliber was able to bounce back from their loss the previous day to defeat Rise Nation 3-2. In their first match back since placing second at UMG Dallas, OpTic Gaming took down Team Orbit 3-1. FaZe Clan continued to dominate with a 3-1 win over Team EnVy and TCM Gaming rounded out the night with a shocking 3-2 win over Denial eSports, which was Denial’s first loss of Season 3.

Day 9 (7/16):

  • Denial eSports 3-0 FaZe Clan
  • OG 1-0 Rise Nation
  • Epsilon.NA 0-0 iSolation Empire
  • TCM Gaming 0-0 OpTic Nation

Following a disappointing loss to TCM Gaming the night before, Denial was able to get back to their winning ways with a dominant 3-0 win over the UMG Dallas champs of FaZe Clan. However, due to internet issues, the rest of the matches on this date were postponed and will be replayed on a later date.

Day 10 (7/17):

  • Team Kaliber 3-2 TCM Gaming
  • Denial eSports 3-2 Epsilon.NA
  • OpTic Nation 3-1 Team Orbit
  • Team EnVy 3-0 iSolation Empire

On the final day of Week 3, Team Kaliber stayed hot with their second straight 3-2 win, this time against TCM. Denial won again for the second consecutive night, taking down Epsilon.NA 3-2. Meanwhile, OpTic Nation defeated Team Orbit 3-1 and Team EnVy rounded out the night with a 3-0 win over iSolation Empire.
