Week 2 of the MLG Pro League for Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare brought what a lot of fans have been waiting for since the reset; OpTic Gaming returning to action.
Here is a brief day-by-day recap of each match from the past week of the MLG season.
Day 3 (8/17):
- OpTic Gaming 3-0 Team eLevate
- OpTic Gaming 3-0 Team Orbit
- OpTic Gaming 3-2 Rise Nation
- Team Orbit 3-2 Rise Nation
- Team eLevate 3-1 Team Orbit
- Team eLevate 3-1 Rise Nation
OpTic Gaming put on a show in their return to Season 3 play by winning all three of their matches; taking down Team eLevate and Team Orbit 3-0, then defeating Rise Nation 3-2. Rise Nation went winless on the night, losing to OpTic 3-2, Orbit 3-2 and eLevate 3-1. Team eLevate was able to rebound from their loss to OpTic by taking down both Orbit and Rise 3-1, and Orbit’s only win on the night was against Rise, ending with a 1-2 record for the day.
Day 4 (8/18):
- iSolation Empire 3-2 FaZe Clan
- OpTic Nation 3-0 Team Orbit
- FaZe Clan 3-1 Team Orbit
iSolation Empire started off the night with a bang by upsetting FaZe Clan 3-2. FaZe was able to redeem themselves with a 3-1 win over Team Orbit, while OpTic Nation got their first win since the restart with a 3-0 win against Team Orbit. Orbit went 0-2 on the night and now sit at 1-2 in Season 3.
Day 5 (8/19):
- Team eLevate 3-0 Team EnVy
- TCM Gaming 3-1 Epsilon.NA
- Epsilon.NA 3-2 Team EnVy
Team eLevate looked strong, winning their only match of the night 3-0 against Team EnVy. TCM was also able to come away with a win in their only match of the night, defeating Epsilon.NA 3-1. However, Epsilon was able to rebound from their loss and earn a hard-fought 3-2 win over Team EnVy. EnVy had a very disappointing showing, going 0-2 on the night, causing their record in Season 3 to slip to 2-3.
