The Essex Model 07 marksman rifle has dropped in Black Ops 6 and Warzone as part of a limited-time event. 

If it looks familiar, that’s because it’s a remastered version of the classic tactical rifle from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, bringing back some serious firepower with a fresh coat of polish. Here’s how you can unlock this powerful weapon fast.

How to get Essex Model 07 marksman rifle in BO6 and WZ

The Essex is a lever-action marksman rifle that delivers high damage with each shot, but its slower fire rate and handling make it a bit less forgiving than some of the faster rifles in its class. This gun reminds me of the Kar98k in terms of raw stopping power, and it can be a deadly quickscope sniper with the right build.

You can unlock the Essex by participating in the Ballerina event, which is live across BO6 Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone from June 5 to 12. It’s a mastery reward, meaning you’ll need to grind out all the other rewards in the event before you can get your hands on this weapon.

If you took part in last month’s Blaze of Glory event, the format here feels pretty familiar. To earn rewards, you’ll need to collect High Table Coins, which you can obtain by eliminating enemies in MP and Zombies, or by opening any kind of loot cache in Warzone.

In total, you’ll need to collect 170 High Table Coins to earn all the rewards and ultimately unlock the Essex Model 07, along with the Decora Tenebris blueprint for the Nunchaku melee weapon if you own a BlackCell battle pass upgrade.

If you’re looking to grind it out fast, Hardcore modes in BO6 Multiplayer are ideal, particularly the HC Stakeout 24/7 and HC Small Map Moshpit. The action is constant, and since it only takes a few shots to get kills, you’ll be stacking coins in no time.

Over at Warzone, your most efficient option is Plunder. It’s generally more relaxed than traditional BR modes since most players are busy chasing objectives, not kills. For the best shot at finding loot caches and scoring those High Table Coins, drop into points of interest packed with buildings—Downtown (especially the massive Overlook building), Train Station, and Storage Town are great choices, as they are loaded with crates and supply boxes.

However, if you want to unlock the Essex a lot faster and don’t mind spending some cash, you can purchase the Dressed Grill tracer pack, which contains the Ultra and Reactive Smoked weapon blueprint for the marksman rifle. You’ll automatically unlock the base weapon upon purchase, and just need to level it up to obtain the other attachments.
