One of Call of Duty‘s best rising stars is now a free agent. Dillon “Attach” Price declared his status on Twitter today, ending his run with Rise Nation, the team that made him the no. 8 overall draft selection in the Major League Gaming Call of Duty: Ghosts League Season 3 draft.

Price helped Rise Nation reach surprising heights. Few expected the team to become a title contender, but they ranked second over the course of the league season, putting together a 28-16 record, just behind EnVyUs. They struggled at their first live tournament, UMG Dallas, but recovered in Nashville to place fourth ahead of teams like OpTic Gaming, who Rise beat twice on the way to the placement, and EnVyUs. At the Season 3 playoffs, though, Rise ended a disappointing seventh place after losses to Noble Gaming and OpTic Gaming. During Season 3, Price ranked ninth overall with 1.1 kills per death and eight overall with 23.79 kills per round. Price has long been heralded as one of the game’s up and coming talents, a superstar caliber player who needed the right situation to let his talents shine. At the age of 17, he was too young to compete at last year’s $1 million Call of Duty Championship, meaning he wasn’t a candidate for any of the game’s top teams, but in 2015 he will be of age. It’s no surprise his time with Rise is coming to an end. Price ended up on the team due to MLG’s new roster rules heading into season 3. Assuming he would be picked up by a top squad after MLG Anaheim and the Season 2 playoffs, Price did not compete on a team he thought would qualify for the next season of a league. But MLG’s new rules meant his only way onto a roster was through the draft, leading to his marriage with Rise Nation. It worked out much better than expected considering Rise Nation’s results, and that’s a testament to Price’s skill. He will be one of the top free agents on the market with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare hitting on November 3. Right now there are no solid rumors on his destination, though many place him on Denial due to his friendship with another young talent, Tommy “ZooMaa” Paparraatto. Denial has a spot open on their roster after dropping Jeremy “StuDyy” Astacio, and has shown they are championship caliber by winning UMG Dallas at the end of August. Whatever team ends up with Price will be lucky to have him.
