If you haven’t unlocked it yet, the FFAR 1 (previously known as FAMAS and FR Avancer) is available as the High Value Target (HVT) reward on page six of the season four battle pass. This assault rifle comes with an SMG-like fire rate and impressive damage range.

This specific FFAR Warzone build is all about boosting bullet velocity and tightening up recoil control, making it a beast in mid-range engagements. It works great either as a primary weapon or as sniper support.

The Gain-Twist Barrel is a go-to pick here due to its bullet velocity boost, which plays well with the weapon’s already solid range. If you’re chasing even more range, the Reinforced Barrel is a good alternative, but it unlocks later in the weapon’s progression.

To tame the FFAR’s kick, pick the Compensator and Vertical Foregrip. These attachments keep your sustained firing steady and accurate even at longer distances. Add the Volzhskiy Reflex or your optic of choice so you’ll be more precise in shooting targets, as the gun’s iron sight is not that good.

Extended Mag II is a must due to the weapon’s high rate of fire. You’ll burn through ammo quickly, so the extra bullets help keep you in the fight.

If you’re running the Gunfighter wildcard, round out your FFAR build with the Quickdraw Grip (rear grip) for a more snappy ADS, Balanced Pad (stock) for better overall mobility, and 5.56 NATO Overpressured (fire mods) to squeeze out even more bullet velocity.

Best FFAR 1 class setup in Warzone

  • Secondary weapon: LC10, Ladra, or HDR (if you’re a sniper)
  • Melee: Personal preference
  • Tactical: Smoke Grenade
  • Lethal: Impact Grenade or Molotov
  • Perk 1: Survivor
  • Perk 2: Tracker
  • Perk 3: Gung-Ho or Tempered
  • Wildcard: Overkill

Survivor is easily the top pick in the first slot, as it helps you regenerate health faster and shortens revive time when you get downed, which can be a real lifesaver in intense encounters. Since you’ll mostly be taking gunfights from mid to long range with the FFAR, Tracker is a no-brainer for the second slot. It highlights enemies when you hit them, making it way easier to keep track of targets as you spray them down.

For the final perk, it really depends on your playstyle. If you prefer playing defensively, I highly recommend going with Tempered for efficient usage of armor plates. But if you’re more aggressive and like to stay on the move, Gung-Ho is crucial because it lets you reload while sprinting, which can be a difference maker in close-quarters battle.
