An absolute laser beam build.

The famous FAMAS has officially made its return in Black Ops 6 as the FFAR 1, and it’s already one of the top weapons in Multiplayer.

If you haven’t grabbed it yet, the FFAR 1 is the High Value Target (HVT) reward on page six of the Call of Duty season four battle pass. This assault rifle has a fast fire rate that rivals SMGs, so this Gunfighter build is all about taming the gun’s wild recoil and pushing its range to make it a solid mid-to-long range option.

The FFAR can be a bit difficult to control, which is why the Compensator, Vertical Foregrip, and Recoil Springs are key here. These attachments basically turn the gun into a laser beam. But if recoil isn’t giving you too much trouble—especially if you’re not an older player like me—you can swap out the Recoil Springs for the 5.56 NATO Overpressured to boost bullet velocity instead.

Throw on the Reinforced Barrel to keep your time-to-kill consistent at range. Add the Ergonomic Grip and Infiltrator Pad for better handling and movement because this is still Multiplayer, and you don’t want to get caught slacking in fast-paced fights.

Extended Mag I is imperative given the FFAR’s rapid fire rate. You don’t want to be reloading mid-fight, especially when facing multiple enemies. Finish the setup with the Kepler Microflex or whichever optic you like, because let’s be honest, the iron sights on this thing are rough.

Best FFAR class setup in BO6

Class setup for the best FFAR loadout in BO6, showing the Sirin 9mm as secondary weapon along with melee, equipment, field upgrade, perks, and wildcard.

  • Secondary: Sirin 9mm
  • Melee: Personal preference
  • Tactical: Stim Shot
  • Lethal: Blast Trap
  • Field Upgrade: Assault Pack
  • Perk 1: Flak Jacket
  • Perk 2: Forward Intel
  • Perk 3: Slipstream or Double Time
  • Wildcard: Gunfighter

Since this FFAR setup is best for mid to long-range fights, you’ll probably find yourself locking down an area or holding an objective. That’s why I like to run Flak Jacket, nothing worse than getting blown up by a random nade while you’re holding it down.

Forward Intel is super handy too, as it expands your mini-map and see where enemies are heading. Go with Slipstream or Double Time for the final perk so you can get to your position faster.

If you’re also aiming to make the most out of this AR in Warzone, check out this powerful FFAR 1 loadout that you can use either in standard Battle Royal or Resurgence matches.
