On top of announcing the addition of the remaining six remastered maps today, Activision also announced some Christmas special events. First of all, as a sign of gratitude to their loyal players, Actision has released a new weapon for people who play Infinite Warfare. It is called the “Hailstorm – Thunder.” The Hailstorm – Thunder is a three-burst pistol with a nice skin on it, made especially for those lovers of Call of Duty. Here is an image of it released by Activision on their blog.
This pistol will reportedly be available starting today when you log in to your game. It is available to any player that has played both Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Infinite Warfare.
On top of the new maps released, starting on Dec. 20, there will be a winter version of the map Crash on Modern Warfare Remastered. Activision will release a 24//7 Winter Crash playlist so you can get your slay on in true winter fashion. More details on what game modes will be in this playlist will be coming soon, according to Activision.
For the people who only play Infinite Warfare, there is also a nice surprise. The map Genesis will get a festive holiday makeover with its own 24/7 playlist as well. Just like Crash, there will be more details released on it soon.
And just when you thought things could not get any better, there is more. Activision will be running an event which they call the “12 Days of Winter” starting Dec. 21, which will include daily log in bonuses for Infinite Warfare players, such as salvage and key bonuses and winter-themed personalization items. As long as you log in to the game on each day, you are guaranteed an awesome prize daily.
Along with all of the stuff announced, they have also hinted at more things coming, such as double XP events and other special bonuses. Make sure to keep an eye out for extra information as we will be reporting it as it becomes available.
