The porn streaming site has signed a six-month deal with Spanish club Play2Win, who will now compete under the moniker “Team YP.”

The name presumably prevents event advertisers from taking issue with a team plastered with “porn” all over their jerseys.

Team YP will make their debut at Dota 2 tournament Gamergy in Madrid this weekend, donning grey jerseys with pink outlines and an emblem that looks like a sword impaling a mountain.

“We’re so psyched to finally make our official entry into gaming and eSports,” vice president of YouPorn Brad Burns said.

“This partnership has been a long time coming, and I believe that with our backing, along with the expertise that each member of Team YP brings to the table on the virtual battlefield, we can succeed in tearing through the competition at this year’s Gamergy event.”

Spanish organization Play2Win competes in Dota 2, Hearthstone, and League of Legends, though they’re hardly the high profile squad many expected a company as big as YouPorn would target. But there’s probably a good reason for that—most high profile clubs don’t need to take the risk of forever associating their brand with pornography.

Still, for people excited that an alternative and somewhat mainstream company like YouPorn wanted to jump into the esports market, the announcement has to be a bit disappointing. The company seemed to put a lot of thought into entering the growing esports arena and made their efforts to do so very public, but this wasn’t the big splash fans were looking for.

And YouPorn really should know—the climax should always top the foreplay.
