New developments emerged earlier today in the ongoing situation between Rick Fox and a shareholder of Echo Fox, Amit Raizada. Emails sent to Dexerto’s Richard Lewis showed that Raizada had sent malicious messages to Fox, threatening him and his family. Now, Fox has released a statement on Dexerto detailing the truth behind the situation and his thoughts on Raizada.
Fox said that Raizada called him a “sand n****r” before, which is a direct contradiction to Raizada’s claim that he has never called Fox a racial epithet. Fox also confirmed the contents of the leaked messages, saying that Raizada had “intent to injure me and my family.”
The Echo Fox founder shot down all of Raizada’s claims saying that the two are very good friends and that they’re involved in several business dealings together.
“I do not consider Mr. Raizada a deep personal friend,” Fox said. “I regret having ever done business with him, considering him in my opinion to be one of the most manipulative and unethical people I have ever met. I have no interest in being involved in any business in which Mr. Raizada is directly or indirectly involved.”
If Raizada leaves Echo Fox as one of its partners, Fox said he wouldn’t have any problems rejoining the team. He also praised the rest of Echo Fox’s partners, players, and staff. Raizada, on the other hand, hasn’t released a response yet.
