Best guns in Battlefield REDSEC

The meta weapons for BR.

Finding the best weapons in REDSEC is the key to dominating matches in Battlefield’s new battle royale mode. Our tier list covers all options, including ARs, SMGs, snipers, and more.

Recommended Videos

REDSEC dropped in October 2025 and introduced an arsenal of weapons with the Battlefield 6 Season 1 update, each adapted for the map, armor-plate mechanics, and aggressive mid-to-long-range gunfights. Unlike previous BF titles, weapons are available as ground loot and loadout drops, making early decisions and familiarity with the meta critical.

Although the classes aren’t restricted by weapon categories, each has clear specialties. Here are the best guns you can use in Battlefield REDSEC.

S-tier weapons

S-tier weapons in REDSEC are the absolute meta picks as they are the safest and most effective choices for you to win matches. These guns have a perfect balance of damage output, recoil control, fire rate, and versatility for almost any encounter. These weapons have the fastest time-to-kill (TTK), the most manageable recoil patterns for precision shooting, and excel across multiple engagement ranges.

The KORD 6P67 assault rifle has great accuracy and a rapid burst rate, making it deadly in both mid and close-range gunfights. The M2010 ESR sniper rifle excels at long range with armor-piercing capability, ensuring reliable one-shot kills.

SMGs like the PW5A3 are lightning-fast in close quarters. Additionally, LMGs like the DRS-IAR offer a killer combination of sustained fire and steady accuracy, making them ideal for squad play and wiping out enemy teams.

A-tier weapons

A-tier weapons are firmly competitive and powerful but have slight trade-offs or situational dependencies. They could be strong meta choices with niche strengths but often require more precise positioning, specific attachments, or strategic playstyles to fully shine. These picks offer more variety and can counter specific squad needs or map zones, making them powerful in the right hands.

For example, the KV9 SMG has an unparalleled close-range fire rate but loses efficiency at medium distances. The RPKM LMG, while not as versatile as the DRS-IAR, excels at area denial and suppressing enemies, making it a fantastic support weapon in coordinated teams.

ARs like B36A4 or carbines such as QBZ-192 offer solid mid-range control but might lack the burst potential, unlike the KORD 6P67.

B-tier weapons

As we move down the tiers, weapons start becoming more dependable. Although you can win fights using them, they lack the polish or advantages of higher tiers. They mostly suffer from slower reloads, higher recoil, less damage, or slower handling, affecting their overall effectiveness in combat.

Some snipers like the SV-98 can still pick enemies off, but don’t match the damage or precision of the higher-tier counterparts.

C-tier weapons

The C-tier weapons in our list have niche roles and are outperformed in most scenarios, as they are typically considered non-meta or underpowered. The drawbacks include poor damage scaling against armor, slow fire rates, and ultimately falling short on raw power or flexibility.

For example, the LMR27 can come in handy during early engagements or specific close-range encounters, but struggles significantly in prolonged firefights. Use them only if forced by circumstance or you have no other option, especially when you just land on Fort Lyndon.
